The New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators provides a series of issue focused workshops, forums and seminars over the course of the 48th Annual Legislative Conference, on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M, connecting attendees with experts, community leaders, advocates, activists, and elected officials. The aim is to inform or educate attendees and our community at large and spark debate among them on important issues that New York State is currently facing. Many of these issues may very well be at the forefront of debates on the floor of our Legislature. The workshops and issue forums are presented to encourage dialogue among attendees, provide fresh perspectives or new directions, and assist our communities at large and their representatives to pursue solutions, while expanding the network among them.
